The hand of God

Today is Sunday again. I loved church! It lifts me up, gets me new perspectives and really rejuvenates me for the coming week. I am very grateful for the opportunity of being in a different ward, meeting new people without having to move! (Although I would like to get rid of some of my junk!)

Some of my insights today were about how God in all of his magnificient power still has time to listen to our troubles and help us with our little seemingly insignificant problems. An example of this is when this last week I was getting pretty stressed out about Christmas. We have not had a good financial year and we have used up all of our cushion. I asked God what I could do for Christmas for the kids, to give me some ideas. When riding on the motorcycle a few days later the idea hit me...
The gift of time! I would give each of them 2 days and 2 nights. I would be their hired help to do anything they wanted. I gave them a Christmas card with this picture on it, and "You've been given the gift of Time" and then a calendar with the dates I could come and stay. I am excited... I know God gave me that idea! I think it will be my funnest Christmas ever.
Our kids are amazing! I love them each so much. They are just good people with great values and so much to offer the world. I pray that they will come back into the church and bless the lives of their children with the gospel and the blessings of the temple. I really believe the promise that Brigham Young gave that if the parents will live their religion, the kids will come back. It motivates me so much to be the best I can be and know that Christ will pick up my slack! How blessed I am to have a savior to carry me.
Another gift we have been given lately is with Bryans mouth. He had so much infection from a root canal done improperly. When he went in for a 2nd opinion the dentist was amazed he was alive. He said his infection on a scale of 1- 10 was a 12! He has healed so quickly, the dr was able to operate on him immediately, and the fact that he sought a 2nd opinion is very unlike him. I know it is another one of the tender mercies God has granted to me.
